    To whom it may concern:
Good day! I would like to inform you about our disappointing experience in your hands. First of all we chose that hospital because it was accessible and “private” but all of it was wrong. It happened last July 18, 2018 when Dr. Diosdado Uy appointed us for excision biopsy at 1 pm and we were advised to go there earlier for preparations and also to get a CBC and bleeding time. The geriatric patient was 87 y/o with no complain of any pain who was my grandfather with an impression of a hemangioma on the posterolateral of his tongue that didnt stop bleeding when he chewed betelnut. The said patient went to Surgical complex for pre op at exactly 12 pm and change into surgical gown. At 1 pm the said Dr. was not there, then at 2 pm he still not there so we asked the nurses. They said they could not contact the doctor although they informed him also but with no confirmation. At 2:05 the patient felt cold due to his age even though we turned off the air-conditioning. He wanted to go outside but because he was in a sterile gown he couldn’t. Then at 2:45 we were informed that the doctor is taking his lunch and still no confirmation on what time he will be doing the surgery. My lolo was agitated during that time and so was I! But I stayed calm and instead wrote in the suggestion box 9 times. I hope you’ll have time to read it.
Then finally the doctor came at exactly 3:46 pm !!!!!! Imagine that. We were not informed on what time he’ll come and most especially, he was careless. He didnt even check the laboratory results of the CBC and bleeding time. I know tongue excision biopsy is just a minor surgery but still, you need to check it. I informed him ahead of time that his hemoglobin was lower than normal. Then at the end of the surgery i was hoping that he’ll make an apology sincerely to my lolo but no act of it was done. So I went to the ENT center and talk to him, he said there was a miscommunication with the nurse in the OR because according to him he was not informed that the patient was already at the OR. So to check if he’s telling the truth i asked the nurse incharge and she showed me that she really texted the him at 12:45 that the patient having excision biopsy on his tongue was there! He is a liar and on top of being unprofessional, he didn’t even care about his patient. He was tardy and careless. My lolo had his lower lip cauterized by him and my lolo felt in pain and was shocked. He didn’t even explained what had happened. So I assumed he accidentaly cauterized the lower lip because if he wanted to cauterize the area he should have anesthetized it and no pain should have been felt, so careless. Bottom line I want these things to stop. If the hospital can’t avoid doctors being tardy then hire more or remove them. I myself is a medical practitioner and I’ll never forget Dr. Diosdado Uy. I personally learned a lot from him, to do exactly opposite.
